A. har spist, gått, og vi begynner å forstå mer om hva som kan ha hendt

Er i Boston idag, men fikk denne oppmuntrende meldingen i dette øyeblikk:

rehab nurse had her on her feet today and she looked steady; she said she felt pretty good but also that her left side was still "heavy".

swallow-nurse finally showed up, but she had breakfast with me (dark cherry yogurt and mango juice); last night she had a huge bowl of chicken soup.

insurance company called and i've got some forms for you two to sign and get moving through the hospital.

dr B showed up this morning and said she had an AVM (atrial venous malformation) that burst (maybe consequent to blood-thinner) but everything else looks normal.  he's transferring her to medical (out of icu) until there is a bed available at the rehab clinic.  they'll want to do another angiogram after the swelling subsides (in about 6-8 weeks-this can be done in norway).

the swelling is impacting the nerves and until it reduces and some of the blood gets re-absorbed, she'll have some limited movement ... but slowly it will return.

she looks really very good today and has some more control over her errant eye.
